This is a private course and it is expensive. There is no version of that sentence that sounds better, so we have put the numbers first instead of last.
Fees rise in years three to five because clinic supervision costs more to run than classroom teaching. We would rather explain that than average it out.
Fees for an intake are fixed on the January they are published and do not change once you have started.
Tuition, year by year

- Year one
- €9,400 — Includes the anatomy laboratory fee and the first-year technique kit.
- Year two
- €9,400 — Includes the second technique kit.
- Year three
- €9,900 — Higher because clinic supervision begins. Includes the clinic tunic and insurance.
- Year four
- €9,900 — Includes research supervision and ethics submission costs.
- Year five
- €10,400 — Includes thesis supervision, the viva, and the six-week placement administration.
What is and is not included
- Included
- All teaching, all clinic supervision, technique kits, professional insurance while you are a student, library and journal access, and the viva.
- Not included
- Accommodation, travel, the annual student contribution set nationally, and travel for an optional term abroad.
- Payment
- Ten monthly instalments from September to June, at no extra cost. A single annual payment attracts a 2% reduction.
- Deposit
- €900 on acceptance, deducted from the first instalment. Refundable in full until 31 July.
- Withdrawal
- Fees are charged pro rata by term. Withdrawal before the end of the first term is charged at one term.
Funding routes
- Regional grants
- Several regions fund health-training places. Amounts and deadlines vary; the admissions office keeps a current list.
- Student loans
- State-guaranteed student loans apply to this course. We provide the attestation banks ask for.
- Apprenticeship
- Not available for this diploma. Any organisation telling you otherwise is describing a different qualification.
- Hardship fund
- A small internal fund, decided twice a year by a panel that does not include your teachers.
Money should not be the reason.
