We would rather you came and watched first.

Five years is a long time to spend finding out you dislike the work. Open days run on the second Saturday of every month and include an hour in the clinic, watching a real consultation with the patient's consent.

Most people who withdraw in year one say the same thing: they had imagined the job rather than seen it.

Come in September or October, well before the deadline.

The year, in order

January to September

6 January
Applications open. The form takes about an hour; you will need your transcripts and one reference.
31 March
Applications close. We do not accept late files, and there is no clearing round.
April
Files are read by two people independently. About half of applicants are invited to interview.
May
Interviews and the practical assessment, on site, over four Saturdays.
Early June
Offers go out. You have three weeks to accept and pay the deposit.
September
Term starts. Sixty places, one intake, no January entry.

Who can apply

Qualification
Baccalauréat or an equivalent recognised in France. Any stream: we take as many literature students as science students.
Language
Teaching is in French. Non-francophone applicants need B2, evidenced at application.
Experience
None required. Having been treated by an osteopath is useful; having shadowed one is better.
Age
No upper limit. Roughly a fifth of each cohort is retraining from another career.

The interview and the practical

The interview
Thirty minutes with a teacher and a final-year student. We ask why osteopathy rather than physiotherapy or medicine, and we expect a considered answer.
The practical
A short exercise with your hands and eyes closed. It tests nothing you should have prepared — only whether you can describe what you feel.
What we look for
Curiosity about the body, tolerance for five years of it, and the ability to be corrected without collapsing.
What we do not
Prior anatomical knowledge, a medical family, or a rehearsed answer.

We use your details to arrange the visit and nothing else. No mailing list.
